PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the construction method of rebuilding the existing house into a house with a rooftop and to place rooftop floorings appropriately and efficiently. SOLUTION: The construction method includes a roof-removal process, a framework process, a bent-plate attachment process, a C-shaped steel attachment process, and the process of placing the rooftop floorings. The roof-removal process is for removing the roof of the existing house and exposing beams, and the framework process is for making frameworks on the beam with a squared timber. Then the bent-plate attachment process is for placing and attaching the corrugated cross-section bent plates on the frame without creating any clearance, and the C-shaped steel attachment process is for attaching C-shaped steels on the bent plates by making the C-shaped steels intersect the groove direction of the bent plates and by directing the opening of the C-shaped steels downward. The process of placing the rooftop floorings is for placing the rooftop floorings on the C-shaped steels. In the C-shaped steel attachment process, a metal fixture 11 is fixed on the top surface of the bent plates so that both of the end parts of the metal fixture 11 are directed upward and that the direction of a C-shaped steel retaining groove, which is formed between both of the end parts, intersects the grove direction of the bent plate 10. Both ends of the U-shaped cross-section metal fixture 11 are bent at a nearly 90°angle in the same direction with respect to the midsection. Then the C-shaped steel 14 is retained by the C-shaped steel retaining groove 11c of the metal fixture 11, and the bent end part 11b of the metal fixture and the side wall part of the C-shaped steel are screwed with a screw 15.
