<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the clogging of an air diffuser capable of completely preventing an air diffuser plate from clogging due to an adverse current inside the air diffuser even when air supply is stopped, and a method for operating the air diffuser capable of preventing excess air diffusion even when treated water volume is smaller than designed water volume. <P>SOLUTION: The air diffuser plate type air diffuser 2 is partitioned into a plurality of blocks and placed in a reactor 1, and pipes for air delivery 8 and 9 are separately provided. When the treated water volume is smaller than the designed water volume, air is delivered to the air diffuser 2 in specific block. On the other hand, service water or the treated water is poured inside the air diffuser 2 which belongs to the remaining blocks and to which air delivery is terminated to prevent the clogging of the air diffuser plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
