PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and inexpensively producing a 5-aminopyrazole compound useful in each field of industry, agriculture, medical, science, etc. and a hydrazine derivative of the precursor in a high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the hydrazine derivative comprises (a) a step for reacting a mixture of an organic compound having a halogen atom having an eliminating property to hydrazine with water with a base and (b) a step for mixing a reaction liquid obtained in the step (a) with hydrazine. The method for producing the 5-aminopyrazole compound comprises a step for reacting a hydrazine derivative with an acylacetonitrile compound in the presence of an acid and an organic solvent or a step for reacting the hydrazine derivative produced by the production method with the acylacetonitrile compound in the presence of the acid and the organic solvent.
