PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleaching cosmetic capable of producing an excellent bleaching effect. SOLUTION: This bleaching cosmetic contains a water-soluble ascorbic acid derivative and two or more kinds of substances derived from plants, wherein the water-soluble ascorbic acid derivative is selected from a group consisting of L-ascorbic acid and a salt thereof, a salt of an L-ascorbic acid phosphoric acid ester, a salt of an L-ascorbic acid sulfuric acid ester, and an L-ascorbic acid glycoside and the substances derived from the plants are selected from a group consisting of a camellia seed extract, a wild orange fruit skin extract, a cassia bark extract, and a licorice extract.
