<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball bearing with a synthetic resin cage having an engaging pawl hard to wear, wherein friction noises, wear debris, colliding noises and friction heat due to contact with balls even in a high speed rotation region are hard to generate. <P>SOLUTION: The ball bearing comprises hemispherical pockets 7 formed at equal peripheral spaces in the opposed faces of two ring bodies 6a, 6b axially facing each other for storing balls; the axially protruded engaging pawl 8 provided between the pockets 7, 7 of one ring body 6a; an engaging hole 9 formed between the pockets 7, 7 of the other ring body 6b for the engaging pawl 8 to be inserted therein; and the synthetic resin cage where the engaging pawl 8 inserted into the engaging hole 9 engages with the ring body 6b to join the ring body 6a to 6b. The synthetic resin cage holds the balls between an inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2. Recessed portions 13 as grease sumps are formed at both ends of the pockets 7 of the ring bodies 6a, 6b, and the balls have contact with joints between the ring bodies 6a, 6b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
