PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector and an assembly method capable of crimping a contact to an electric wire after the former is built into a housing, and being connected robustly and with high reliability, as well as manufactured simply and inexpensively. SOLUTION: The electric connector (100) is equipped with a housing (116). A contact (120) is stored at least partially in the housing. A terminal cover to cover a terminal part (124) of the contact is arranged on the housing (116). The terminal cover has a first lid part (126) and a second lid part (128).
