<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion for use in ink-jet recording which develops a high printing density and has an excellent bleed resistance, and to provide a water-based ink containing this for use in ink-jet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion for use in ink-jet recording is a colorant-containing aqueous dispersion of water-insoluble polymer particles, characterized in that the above aqueous dispersion has a content of the water-insoluble polymer of 1-7% by weight and has a surface tension at 20°C of 60 mN/m or more; the manufacturing method thereof and the water-based ink containing the above aqueous dispersion for use in ink-jet recording are also disclosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
