PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send picture data photographed with a digital camera directly to an external storage media drive apparatus for storing in a storage medium. SOLUTION: When recording the picture data photographed with the digital camera in a memory card 107, a DPOF file having the output destination of the picture data written in a user definition area is prepared and written in the memory card 107. The DPOF file of the memory card 107 is read by the storage media drive apparatus to store the picture data in the storage medium according to description in the user definition area.
