POSITION REPORTING TERMINAL AND POSITION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a complicated permitting area setting work for latitude and longitude information or the like by both a user and a monitoring center on an external device side in a position reporting terminal which is attached to a vehicle or a valuable article or held by a child or an aged person, and adapted to transmit a report to the external device if a GPS position measuring result deviates from a preset permitting area. SOLUTION: By just one setting of a permitting area range such as a range with a certain radius or a range with a certain east-west distance and a certain south-north distance by a user through a data input means 15, a terminal control part 15 voluntarily sets the permitting area at the time of security-on such as power-on. Therefore, setting of the latitude and longitude information or the like is not needed, and the setting can be performed without communications with the monitoring center to reduce the communication cost.
