A rack mount device (20) of an optical transmission device comprises racks (21), a shelf (1) mounted on a rack (21), and a L-crosssection panel (2) rotatably so mounted between the racks at a lower part of the device (1) as to take an open/close position. Interface cables (150) in the rack mount device (20) can be easily and infallibly connected without causing stress, the connection positions of the interface cables (150) can be flexibly determined or changed, and the work efficiency is remarkably improved.
