PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet image forming apparatus that can prevent a rear face of a recording medium from being contaminated when so-called marginless printing is carried out. SOLUTION: Ink suction holes 52, 54, 56 are formed on a platen 50 from the inner side to the external side of the both ends in the width direction of a printing part 13. The ink suction hole 54 (or 56) is formed such that one end thereof in the width direction bridges over the inner side of the other end of a recording medium 12 matched with a reference line 51 to the outer side thereof. When the width of the recording medium 12 is greater, the other end of the recording medium 12 in the width direction is positioned on a portion above the ink suction hole 56. When the width of the recording medium 12 is smaller, the other end of the recording medium 12 in the width direction is positioned on a portion above the ink suction hole 54. The ink suction holes 52, 54, 56 are coupled to air paths 62, 64, 66, respectively. The plurality of air paths 62, 64, 66 are connected to a single air path 60 on the lee side.
