PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total reflection end module capable of improving the manufacturing yield by approximating the reflection of the total reflection end module itself to 0 (dB) infinitely. SOLUTION: The total reflection end module is equipped with: the total reflection end composed of a capillary 3 having a first optical fiber through-hole, a flange 5 connected to the end of the capillary 3 and having a second optical fiber through-hole in communication with the first, and an optical fiber 7 inserted into the first and second optical fiber through-holes; and a housing for housing this total reflection end. The module is characterized in that the optical fiber has a housed length shorter than the length of the second optical fiber through hole housing the fiber and that a reflection film 15 is formed on the end face of the optical fiber to be housed. Consequently, the return loss produced inside the total reflection end module can be brought infinitely close to 0 (dB), thereby enabling the manufacturing yield to be improved.
