PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spreader cover of a tripod which can prevent indoor soiling and damages, even when a photographing site is transferred from outdoors to indoors. SOLUTION: The cover for a spreader, in which three sides connected in a Y-shape so as to adjust the mutual opening between three leg parts O, O, O are provided so as to be expansible and contractible at a lowest position of the tripod, and further, structure as a grounding member is also provided with, is equipped with a lower pad 1 and an upper overlapping strip 3. The lower pad 1 covers whole lower surface of one side of the spreader, is longer than maximum extension of one side of the spreader and further excess length part thereof becomes a folded piece 2 in the longitudinal direction. The upper lapping strip 3 stretches out from both side edges of the lower pad 1, and respective stretched-out pieces are superposed on the lower pad 1 from different sides. Further, the spreader cover of the tripod is provided with a fixing means 4 for fixing both pieces of the upper lapping strip 3 by superposing them. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
