PURPOSE:To improve the recording sensitivity and the protection performance of a recording layer by forming a protective film having an ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer as an essential component on the optical recording layer disposed on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A film is formed on a resin substrate 1 having a spiral guided groove on the surface thereof by making SiO a ground layer 2 and subsequently, an optical memory material layer 3 is formed. The resin obtained by mixing ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer and paraffin wax is a weight ratio of 7:3 is heated and wetted on a layer 3 and coated by a roll coater. When a coated film is coated, the heat conduction is generated from the recording layer to the substrate and instantaneously cooled and solidified to form the protection film 4. Thus, the recording sensitivity of the optical recording medium and the protection characteristic of the recording layer can be improved. |
