PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of electricity of a light source of an ultraviolet ray lamp for a leakage detecting device previously, and to facilitate the maintenance of the light source, by providing the leakage detecting device to beneath the ultraviolet ray lamp, providing also an output amplifier, a breaker for electric power source circuit, and a monitor board between the leakage detecting device and the power source for the ultraviolet ray lamp. CONSTITUTION:Adhesion and propagation of aquatic lives in a circuit of cooling water for a condenser is prevented by the irradiation of the inside of a circuit of cooling water of a water chamber 1 with ultraviolet rays generated by an ultraviolet ray lamp 4 provided in a protecting box 2 in the water chamber 1 of the condenser and connected to the electric power source 3. And, a leakage detecting device 7 for detecting the leakage of cooling water into the protecting box 2 covered with a freely electrifiable network of copper wire on the surface is provided to below the ultraviolet ray lamp 4. An output amplifier 8, an electric source breaker 9, and a monitor board 10 are provided to between said device 7 and the power source 3 for the ultraviolet ray lamp to break the connection to the power source 3 of the ultraviolet ray lamp when leakage is detected. As the result, the leakage of electricity in the light source is prevented previously and the maintenance of the light source is facilitated.
