PURPOSE:To obtain a photo-polymerizable compsn. having high sensitivity to a light source in the range of ultraviolet and visible wavelengths and excellent storage stability by compounding a compd. having an ethylenically unsatd. bond, a sensitizing dye and a specified amt. of hexaarylbiimidazole. CONSTITUTION:In a polymerizable compsn. comprising an addition-polymerizable compd. having at least one ethylenically unsatd. bond and a photopolymn. initiat ing system comprising both a sensitizing dye and hexaarylbiimidazole, 60-200 pts.wt. hexaarylbiimidazole is incorporated therein based on 100pts.wt. addition- polymerizable compd. As the pref. hexaarylbiimidazole to be used, 2,2'-bis (o- chlorophenyl)-4, 4', 5, 5'-tetraphenylbiimidazole and 2, 2'-bis(o-chlorophenyl)-4, 4', 5, 5'-tetra(m-methoxyphenyl)biimidazole are cited. |
