PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the stripe fogging of the subject material by developing a specified photosensitive material with a color developer contg. prescribed amounts of a chlorine ion and a bromine ion, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material comprises a layer contg. a silver halide emulsion layer composed of >=80mol% of silver chloride and one or more kinds of compds. shown by formulas I - VII, and has the coated amount of silver of <=0.75g/m<2>. The photosensitive material is developed with the color developer contg. the chlorine ion of 3.5X10<-2> - 1.5X10<-1>mol/l and the bromine ion of 3.0X10<-5> - 1.0X10<-3>mol/l, respectively. In formula I - VII, D is a divalent electron attractive group, R1 - R10 and Y4 are each alkyl, aryl or alkylene group and the like, (p) is an integer of 1 or 2, U is a benzene or a heterocyclic ring group which may condense with a phenol ring, (r) is an integer of 1 - 5. Thus, the generation of the stripe fogging of the photosensitive material is prevented. |
