Electrically heated garment - has layer of flexible heating wire or printed circuit and second similar heating element layer between fabric layers

The garment, e.g. waistcoat or jerkin (1), incorporates a flexible electric resistance consisting of a printed circuit (2) or wire (2') which follows a circuitous path. A second similar heating element is superimposed on this, and both elements are enclosed between fabric layers of the garment. Switch (4) is provided for connection to a low voltage supply. The heating elements are pref. secured by a flexible mesh sheet (3) or by sewing, and enclosed between electrically-insulating layers. The electrical supply may be DC or AC, and a safety thermostat is pref. included.
