An electric shaver is provided to shave off beard smoothly by arranging a head part in the traverse direction of a handle part and pulling the handle part and sliding the head in a face. An electric shaver comprises a head part(2). The head part is mounted in order to tilt at the front end of a handle part(1). A blade unit is installed at the head part. The head part is tilted until the blade unit is positioned in the traverse direction in the state the handle part is supported in the longitudinal direction. The head part is supported in the traverse position by a lock unit.
