<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for dynamic establishment of a telepresence conference by using a standard protocol such as SIP for communication. <P>SOLUTION: This method provides for negotiation of profiles of each location participating at the telepresence conference. The profiles provide information on connectivity, positioning and a configuration of audiovisual elements, the number of participating sites and the number of participants at each location.
