<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress a decrease in detection precision at a second detection section using an electromagnetic induction system without deteriorating detection precision at a first detection section using a capacitance system. <P>SOLUTION: A position detector has: a position indicator 2; a first detection section 13 having a substantially flat shape; and a second detection section 14 provided at a position opposite to the other surface of the first detection section. The position indicator 2 has a coil 27. The first detection section 13 has, on one surface thereof, detection electrodes 15 for detecting a capacitance between itself and a human body part. The second detection section 14 is provided with loop coils 24 for detecting magnetic flux G. Further, the detection electrodes 15 have a substantially flat shape, and are provided with at least one slit extending from the outer edge to the inside. With such a configuration, not only the degradation of detection precision of the first detection section using a capacitance system can be prevented or suppressed, but also the degradation of detection precision of the second detection section using an electromagnetic induction system can be prevented or suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
