PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a wheelchair user to easily transfer between a wheelchair outside a cabin and a regular seat body in the cabin by himself/herself. SOLUTION: This getting-in/out assisting device includes: a folding auxiliary seat 3 stored in the back face 21a of a seat back 21 of the seat body 2; a linear movement mechanism 5 for vertically moving the folding auxiliary seat by vertically linearly moving an arm 4 having one end fixed to the folding auxiliary seat; a first rotation mechanism 6 for moving the folding auxiliary seat between the vertically upward direction and the horizontal direction by rotatingly moving the arm in the vertical direction; a second rotation mechanism 7 for moving the folding auxiliary seat between the inside and the outside of the cabin by horizontally rotating the linear movement mechanism and the first rotation mechanism itself; a third rotation mechanism 8 for changing the direction by rotating a seat cushion 31 of the folding auxiliary seat; and a drive means M for actuating the linear movement mechanism, the first rotation mechanism and the second rotation mechanism.
