DATA CHECKING METHOD AND DEVICE

A data checking method and device belongs to the data storage field. The method involves generating a check code of an error detection and correction to the checking data by a CPU, storing the data in a storage used by a target chip, storing the check code, carrying the error detection and the correction check to the data based on the data and the check code by the CPU. The device includes a process module, a store module and a check module. The method can correctly judge correctness of the data in the storage used by the target chip, compared to the prior art, avoid the bug that the target chip hardware does not support the ECC check function, provide protection to the data in the storage used by the target chip, and increase reliability of the data.
