<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery, in which a dissolution amount of a metal in a positive electrode active material composed of an olivine type M lithium phosphate (M is a bivalent metal) into an electrolytic solution can be reduced and a lithium secondary battery having a long time stability and a high discharging capacity can be manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: A raw material of a powder of an olivine type M lithium phosphate (M is a bivalent metal) having an average particle diameter of a primary particle less than 1 micron is sintered in a vacuum or an inert atmosphere and the obtained sintered body is pulverized. A positive electrode active material powder for the lithium secondary battery composed of the olivine type M lithium phosphate manufactured in the above manufacturing method or a positive electrode active material powder composed of a complex body between the above powder and a carbon source is used for a positive electrode of the lithium secondary battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
