<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas pressure type actuator having simplified inexpensive construction for reducing the number of components without the need for applying special construction to individual structure parts. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator body 26 is formed with a cylinder 21, a piston 22, and a gas generator 25 filled with explosive. The gas generator 25 is provided at the end of the cylinder 21. The gas generator 25 blows high pressure gas into the cylinder 21 with the combustion of the explosive to move the piston 22. To the actuator body 26, a coating 30 is applied for covering the whole actuator body 26 at its outside.
