A tilting device of a steering wheel is provided to prevent an injury to a driver in a car accident by using a tilt switch controlling the steering wheel. A tilting device of a steering wheel comprises: a first cable(21) locking or unlocking a tilt mechanism(4) for the tilt control of a steering wheel; a second cable(23) connected to a brake pedal by a connecting unit(11); and a push type tilt switch which selectively operates the connecting unit. The connecting unit comprises: a lower connecting plate(14) in which the second cable is connected to the outer circumference; and an upper connecting plate(13) in which the first cable is connected to the outer circumference. The upper connecting plate descends with the pressing operation of the tilt switch and adheres closely to the lower connecting plate.
