A data page of an optical information processing apparatus, a data page mapping method, and a data page error checking method are provided to minimize the error of data page by determining the sign of pixels within the data page based on the brightness standard value of a plurality of parity pixels. A data page of an optical information processing apparatus comprises a plurality of data pixels(31a) mapped as original data for recording, and a plurality of parity pixels(31b,31c) in which parity bit used with the data pixel for error checking of original data is mapped. The parity pixels include a first parity pixel and a second parity pixel which are adjacent and exhibit different signs.
