发明名称 LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND PROGRAM THAT IMPLEMENTS THE METHOD
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a larger detection signal when inspecting whether or not liquid can be discharged from a nozzle. SOLUTION: During normal printing, a raw signal ODRVa is generated driving a printing head 24 provided with solidification preventing pulses PP between a plurality of basic pulses P1-P4. During inspection, by omitting two solidification preventing pulses PP2, PP3 and not including a temporal margin M required for positioning of a carriage 22 between basic pulse groups GP, a raw signal ODRVb is generated shortening intervals between the second basic pulse and the third basic pulse, between the third basic pulse and the fourth basic pulse, and between the fourth basic pulse and the next first basic pulse. During normal printing, a printing process is carried out by using the generated raw signal ODRVa, and during nozzle inspection, nozzle inspection is carried out determining whether or not ink will be discharged from the nozzle 23 by using the generated raw signal ODRVb.
