PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer data at a higher speed by efficiently transferring the data between SAS devices connected by SAS using a plurality of buses. SOLUTION: This data transfer device is provided with: a transfer part 12a for acquiring transfer data related with a processing request, and for transferring the acquired transfer data to a transfer destination 20 by using one bus 2-0 to 2-3 among the plurality of buses 2-0 and 2-3; a transmission part 17 for transmitting a processing request queued in a queuing part 14 to a transfer part 12a; a detection part 15 for detecting the number of queued processing requests; and a determination part 16 for determining whether or not the number processing requests is smaller than the number of buses 2-0 to 2-3. When the determination part 16 determines that the number of processing requests is smaller than the number of buses 2-0 to 2-3, a transmission part 17 divides the queued processing requests into processing requests in accordance with the number of buses 2-0 to 2-3 and the number of the queued processing requests.
