<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the picture quality of an image to be compressed in a Web page. <P>SOLUTION: Among all contents constituting a Web page 10 to be displayed on a portable terminal, the data amount of total contents is computed, except images 13-15 to be compressed. A margin capacity is computed by subtracting the computed data amount from the memory capacity of a receiving memory built in the portable terminal. The images 13-15 are compressed so that the resultant data amount is the data amount of the computed margin capacity. Contents showing the compressed images 13-15 and the compressed Web page 10 are transmitted to the portable terminal, and the Web page 10 is displayed on a display screen of the portable terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
