PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery unit mainly used for a various electronic instruments capable of forming an insulating coating only at a necessary portion and surely insulating. SOLUTION: A groove part 13 or a recessed part 14 is formed in a prescribed portion of a wiring board 11 on which a switching element 2 and an electronic component 5 are mounted, and when an insulating coating 8 covering a part or whole of the switching element 2 or the electronic component 5 is formed by coating, spreading of the insulating coating to the top surface of the wiring board is prevented by the groove part 13 or the recessed part 14, and the necessary portion can be covered with the insulating coating 8 in equal thickness, and the battery unit capable of surely insulating can be obtained.
