PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifetime prediction method and a lifetime prediction device of a roller bearing capable of performing lifetime prediction in consideration of an edge load, and performing accurate lifetime prediction agreeing substantially with a bearing lifetime acquired by an experiment. SOLUTION: A mesh inside is assumed to have a uniform or linear surface pressure distribution, and a contact surface pressure distribution on the contact surface is calculated, and a shearing stress at each mesh point set under the surface of a contact domain is determined from the contact surface pressure distribution, and further a stress amplitude and its depth are determined.
