PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary cooling device for a condenser capable of reducing running costs by minimizing a water supply amount of cooling water while improving cooling efficiency by cooling the intake air of the condenser by vaporized latent heat of the cooling water. SOLUTION: This auxiliary cooling device for the condenser comprises a frame body 6 kept into contact with or close to a peripheral outer face of an outside air inlet port 3 formed on an outer hull of the air-cooling type condenser 2 having a heat exchanger and a fan 4, a water tank 7 integrally disposed at a lower portion of the frame body 6, upper and lower rollers 8, 9 respectively disposed on an upper end portion of the frame body 6 and in the water tank 7, an endless mat material 10 wound between both rollers 8, 9, a float valve 12 for supplying the water into the water tank 7 to keep a water level of the cooling water 11 in the water tank 7 roughly constant, and a roller driving means for rotating and driving at least one of the rollers.
