PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel including two-dimensionally aligned display pixels having light emitting elements, which can ensure satisfactory light emitting characteristic or an extended life by suppressing the deviation or dispersion of film thickness in a light emitting functional layer, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A display pixel PIX has a device structure in which transistors Tr11 and Tr12 having substantially the equal size are arranged on the left and right edge areas of a pixel forming area Rpx, and electrode layers, semiconductor layers or the like forming the transistors Tr11 and Tr12 are formed respectively in the same manufacturing process, whereby the film thickness of each layer is equalized to substantially equalize a difference in level generated on the surface of an insulating substrate 11.
