<p>An air blower configured to able to diffuse a diffusible substance or ions without adversely affecting the air blowing function of the air blower and with safety of the air blower ensured. An air blower (10) comprising a motor (3), a fan (4) connected to the output shaft (32) of the motor (3) and rotationally driven by the motor (3), and a fan nut (5) for fastening the fan (4) to the output shaft (32) of the motor (3). A diffusable substance is held by the fan nut (5) provided to the output shaft (32) of the motor (3), an ion generator (8) is mounted to the motor body (31) so as to be concentric with the output shaft (32), and as a result the driffusible substance, positive ions, and negative ions can be diffused without obstructing the air flow and without adversely affecting the air blowing function of the air blower. The duffusible substance and the ion generator (8) are provided inside a fan guard (7) to prevent an infant, etc. from touching the duffusible substance and the ion generator (8), and this ensures the safety.</p> |
