The meter has a plastic tank (1) containing a metering mechanism, and a totalizer (2) containing a metering system for metering flow of fluid. The totalizer is attached to the tank by a connection between a totalizer cover (2A) and a thread (1C) of the tank. A mounting ring (3) is provided with a threaded hole (3A) engaging with the thread of the tank, where the cover is translatably locked on the ring in translation using clips (2B). A sealing ring (4) externally covers the mounting ring.
