PURPOSE: A laundry machine is provided to slim a rear structure of the machine and to increase washing capacity by increasing the size or volume of a drum. CONSTITUTION: A laundry machine comprises a tub, a drum, a driving unit, and a suspension assembly. The tub accepts washing water. The drum is rotatably installed inside the tub. The driving unit comprises a rotary shaft(351), a bearing housing(400), and a motor. The suspension assembly absorbs vibration occurred in the drum. The ratio of the length of the rotary shaft inserted into the bearing housing and the diameter of the drum is more than 1:9.
