METHOD FOR PRODUCING SODIUM ASCORBATE GRANULE FOR DIRECT COMPRESSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of production whereby a sodium ascorbate granule for direct compression can be produced with industrial advantage, provided that the sodium ascorbate granule for direct compression substantially contains only sodium ascorbate and sugars, is excellent in cohesiveness, tablettability and flowability, does not undergo coloration or discoloration during production and is suitable for a direct compression method.

SOLUTION: The sodium ascorbate granule for direct compression is produced by carrying out high-speed stirring and mixing and granulation of sodium ascorbate and sugars in a mass ratio of from 99.5:0.5 to 90.0:10.0 while scattering or spraying hydrous ethyl alcohol to the same.
