PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently notify control information in a random access channel (RACH).

SOLUTION: A signature selection section 111 selects any one of code series from mutually different multiple code series as a signature according to input control information and a modulation section 112 modulates the signature (code series). In a table provided in the signature selection section 111, the CAZAC series #1 being a basic code series and the derived code series of shifts 0-7 derived from the CAZAC series #1 are correspondingly set to control information '000'. The derived code series of the shifts 0-7 of the CAZAC series #1 respectively correspond to signatures #1-#8. In addition, the CAZAC series #2 being the basic code series and the derived code series of the shifts 0-7 derived from the CAZAC series #2 are correspondingly set to control information '001'. The derived code series of the shifts 0-7 of the CAZAC series #2 respectively correspond to signatures #9-#16.
