<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocuring blue colorant composition for color filter excellent in pattern forming property by UV light laser which is excellent in hue and with which the chipping and peeling of the pattern-like film formed can be suppressed and which is good in pixel shape and can form a coloring pattern excellent in contact hole formation property, a color filter in which the composition is used, a manufacturing method thereof, and a liquid crystal display apparatus having the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: A photocuring blue colorant composition for color filter of UV light laser exposure includes (A) an organic solvent, (B) a pigment, (C) silica fine particles, (D) a photopolymerization initiator, (E) an ethylenic unsaturated compound, and (F) a resin.
