PURPOSE: A face recognition apparatus is provided to improve security states by capturing images around a user for recognizing the existence of adjacent people. CONSTITUTION: A zoom lens operating unit(14) of a camera operates a zoom in/zoom out function of a zoom lens(12) according to a zoom control signal. The camera outputs image information by capturing a front image. A face authentication execution unit(20) establishes a part of capturing areas as a face authentication monitoring area. When the face of a user is captured from the face authentication monitoring area, the face authentication execution unit captures images around the users by outputting the zoom control signal. |
