PURPOSE: An ester-based organic solvent for off-set ink and an ink composition including the same are provided to drastically reducing generation of volatile organic compound and enhance biodegradability. CONSTITUTION: An ester-based organic solvent for off-set ink has a pour point of -30 or less, a viscosity at 40 deg. Celsius is 7.6-8.5, and biodegradability of 80% or greater. The generation rate of the volatile organic compound at 110 deg. Celsius for 48 hours is 1.0% or less. The organic solvent is either an octyl oleate or the butyl oleate. An off-set ink composition comprises 20-40 weight% of binder resin, 40-50 weight% of ester based organic solvent, 6-10 weight% of pigment and 0.1-15 weight% of extender pigment. |
