<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pot bottom temperature sensor for a gas stove which can accurately detect the temperature of a cooking container by securing a smooth move of a heat sensitive head even when a lead wire drawn out from a rear end of a support pipe is not forward/backward moved. <P>SOLUTION: The pot bottom temperature sensor for the gas stove includes the support pipe 19 erected in a burner inner space S surrounded by an annular gas stove burner 2, the heat sensitive head 20 supported on a tip of the support pipe 19 so as to be vertically movable, an energization member 27 for energizing the heat sensitive head 20 upward, and a heat sensitive element 25 attached to the inside of the heat sensitive head 20. The lead wire 28 with its tip connected to the heat sensitive element 25 and its rear end drawn out from the rear end of the support pipe 19 through the support pipe 19 is partially provided with a loose part 31 allowing the move of at least the heat sensitive head 20.
