Provided is a vehicle seat which has a rigid seat back while being lightweight. A panel frame (22) of the vehicle rear seat is joined with a roughly X-shaped X rib (24). A first reinforcing member (24A) of the X rib (24) is installed in a straight line between an anchor wire (68) which is the load application point, and a first supported member (22A) of the panel frame (22), which is supported onto the vehicle body side via a rotating hinge (48). Moreover, a second reinforcing member (24B) which shares the center portion in the longitudinal direction with the first reinforcing member (24A) is installed in a straight line between a second supported member (22B) of the panel frame (22), which is supported onto the vehicle body side via a rotating hinge (56), and a third supported member (22C) of the panel frame (22), which is supported on the vehicle body side via a locking mechanism (64).
