摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image density estimation support device, an image density estimation device, an image forming apparatus, and a program which contribute to easy and accurate estimation of an image density. <P>SOLUTION: A first linear approximation formula V<SB POS="POST">out</SB>=a<SB POS="POST">1</SB>*V<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>+V<SB POS="POST">dark_b</SB>representing a correspondence relation between a reference voltage V<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>and a surface reflected light voltage V<SB POS="POST">out</SB>is generated (step 208), and a second linear approximation formula V<SB POS="POST">patch</SB>=a<SB POS="POST">2</SB>*V<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>+V<SB POS="POST">dark_t</SB>representing a correspondence relation between the reference voltage V<SB POS="POST">ref</SB>and an image reflected light voltage V<SB POS="POST">patch</SB>is generated (step 220).
