PURPOSE: A power supply unit and an induction heating system including the same are provided to protect a system from a short by adding an inductor which is serially connected to an output terminal of a transformer. CONSTITUTION: A rectifier(310) changes an AC voltage into a DC voltage. A voltage type inverter(330) outputs the DC voltage to a high frequency AC voltage and a high frequency AC current. A resonant inductor is serially connected to the inverter and increases the current applied to a heating coil with an exponential function.
