A refrigerator is provided to check abnormal states of each part in a refrigerating cycle precisely and easily according to an operation frequency of a compressor. A refrigerator includes a compressor controller(26) operating a natural frequency of a compressor(14) by a natural frequency operating part(25) for carrying out refrigerant compression according to an operation frequency corresponding to the natural frequency, and a refrigerator controller(30) for checking abnormal states of a refrigerating cycle according to the operation frequency of the compressor. If the operation frequency is deviated from a preset normal frequency range, the refrigerator controller determines that the refrigerating cycle is abnormal. |
