PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus and an image display method by which individual images on a display unit can be recognized and the apparatus can be operated reliably.SOLUTION: An image display apparatus comprising a display unit and a touch panel, comprises: a first display mode for making a plurality of images 91 adjacent to individual images and for displaying a list of the plurality of images 91; and a second display mode for performing the enlarged display of one image selected with the touch panel from among the plurality of images 91. If the touch panel is operated in the first display mode and the plurality of touch images 96 are touched, control for shifting from the first display mode to a third display mode where a plurality of candidate images 92 are displayed discretely is performed, on the basis of the plurality of touched touch images. |
