PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effluent treatment apparatus exhibiting an improved treatment efficiency by aerating ozone.SOLUTION: An effluent treatment apparatus 10 of the present invention is furnished with: a treatment tank 12 into which an effluent 24 is introduced; a filtering membrane 16 immersed within the effluent 24 stocked within the treatment tank 12; and an aerator 28 for generating ozonated air 30 underneath the filtering membrane 16. Since the ozonated air 30 is contacted directly with a sludge layer 22 adhered to the filtering membrane 16 in an operative state, the occurrence of fouling, etc. can be abated by properly sterilizing bacteria included within the sludge layer 22.
