PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability of performance and the reliability of duration while securing compact performance.SOLUTION: A multiplate friction engagement device comprises clutch parts 71, 72 and 73 in which driven plates 72 and drive plates 71 are alternately arranged in axial directions in a plurality of pieces, and a piston 82 which presses the clutch parts 71, 72 and 73, and makes them engaged with one another. In this dry type multiplate clutch 7, a snap ring 75 as a pressure receiving part for regulating the axial movement of the clutch parts 71, 72 and 73 is arranged at an end position at an outside diameter side of a friction face out of faces opposite to a piston pressing part in the axial direction via the clutch parts 71, 72, and 73. The multiplate friction engagement device presses the clutch parts 71, 72 and 73 in an offset state that positions in radial directions of the pressing part and the pressure receiving part are made to differ from each other, and a position of an arm pressure-inserting plate 88 being the pressing part is set while reducing the eccentric friction of the first driven plate 72 which is pressed by the piston 82, and by making it offset to an inside diameter side of the friction face in a direction opposite to the pressure receiving part. |
